Triangular Scarf Wearing Styles - How to Tie a Triangular Scarf?

Triangle scarves are true all-rounders – they can be individually adapted to your style and used in versatile ways. They are an alternative to a regular scarf, but can also be worn with other garments. The key is which of the countless wearing options you choose. In this blog post, you will therefore get an overview of the most common tying techniques.

(1) Classic

The most common way to wear a triangle scarf is the classic one. This requires no complicated tying technique and can be done in seconds.

Step 1: Place the triangle scarf around your neck so that the point faces forward and the two ends hang backward.
Step 2: Cross the two ends of the triangle scarf behind your neck.
Step 3: Bring the two ends forward, over your shoulders.

(2) Stole in the crook of the arm

A stole is a chic and stylish accessory that serves to add that certain something to an outfit. Stoles can be worn both in the crook of the elbows and over the shoulders. The wearing option in the crook of the arm often serves to enhance an outfit.

Step 1: Spread out the triangle scarf.
Step 2: Place the stole over your arm so that it covers the crook of your elbow and the middle of the triangle scarf rests on your back.
(Optional) Step 3: If you tie the two ends of the stole together into a knot, you get another style variation and more hold.

(3) Stole over the shoulder

A stole draped over the shoulders is temperature-regulating. Whether it should provide warmth on cool days or serve as sun protection in summer is up to you.

Step 1: Spread out the triangle scarf.
Step 2: Place the stole over your shoulders, letting both ends hang forward.
(Optional) Step 3: With this variation too, you can tie the two ends of the stole together into a knot.

(4) Classic with a knot

If the triangle scarf is to serve as an alternative to a regular scarf, you can tie the ends together for even more hold. This wearing option is particularly suitable on windy days or if you want to wear the triangle scarf while cycling, for example.

Step 1: Place the triangle scarf around your neck so that the point faces forward and the two ends hang backward.
Step 2: Cross the two ends of the triangle scarf behind your neck.
Step 3: Bring the two ends forward, over your shoulders.
Step 4: Tie the ends together in a knot under the middle section of the triangle scarf.

(5) Pareo

Tying a pareo around the hips is a popular and easy method to create a casual yet stylish look. Pareos are often worn at the beach, by the pool, or during other leisure activities as swimwear or a light cover-up over a swimsuit.

Step 1: Hold the triangle scarf at both ends and wrap it around your hips.
Step 2: Tie the two ends together in a knot at the side of your hip.

(6) Wrap top

Admittedly, this wearing option is a bit bolder and not necessarily suitable for everyday wear. However, transforming triangle scarves into wrap tops is perfect for beach holidays or as an eye-catcher for evening occasions. Our airy and lightweight viscose triangle scarves are particularly suitable for this tying technique.

Step 1: Place the triangle scarf around your torso so that the point of the scarf faces downwards.
Step 2: Tie the two ends together at your back.
