The Long Blouse "Kida" - How to wear

Whether in colorful, black and white, with vertical stripes or horizontal stripes - striped blouses are an indispensable part of the fashion world and establish themselves every season anew as an absolute must-have in your wardrobe. "Babystripes" are particularly trendy - delicate, fine, narrow stripes that give the garment even more lightness and charm - perfect for spring!

Why women should have a long blouse in their closet

Long blouses are a great example of the trendy babystripes. These are more and more frequently found in this great pattern. As the name suggests, this is a long-cut blouse - a mixture of a blouse and a dress. The advantage: This makes the blouse absolutely versatile and offers many combination and wearing options. In addition, these blouses - and also our "Kida" blouse, which is the topic of today's discussion - are wide-cut, cover the bottom, and thus ideally conceal small problem areas. Due to its cut, the long blouse can be worn by any figure type and can be styled for any occasion with just a few simple steps.

It makes women's hearts beat faster - the long blouse "Kida"

Precisely for these reasons, I would like to introduce you to our long blouse "Kida". This beautiful striped blouse offers exactly what we expect from a long blouse: a wide cut, sleeves that can be rolled up, and a flowing, soft fabric (100% cotton). The special recognition feature and, in my opinion, what makes it so special, is the variation of vertical and horizontal stripes. As we women know, horizontal stripes are not quite as practical, as they make us appear wider and bulkier. All the better, then, that the "Kida" blouse has vertical stripes that lengthen you and make you appear slimmer. Only the pockets are decorated with horizontal stripes - they stand out from the rest of the blouse and are real eye-catchers! All of this gives this blouse a unique look and individual appeal!

Start with spring colors

With striped blouses, all color combinations are possible - whether simple black and white, colorful plays of blue, green and red, or subtle white and pastel shades. When it comes to blouses with stripes, there's no hard and fast rule for colors; anything goes! Since spring is slowly approaching and we are finally (!!) getting some sunshine, warm colors are simply perfect! That's why you can find the "Kida" long blouse in orange, pink, and blue.

"Kida" in Orange: Many people find the color orange a bit difficult to combine, but in combination with white, it looks calm and summery. I personally think that orange always radiates joie de vivre, cheerfulness, and creativity. And there's probably no better way to wear an orange blouse in spring/summer, right?

"Kida" in Pink: "Pink, pink, pink are all my clothes, pink, pink, pink is all I have" - no, joking aside... but pink is simply such a great color and has become an absolute must-have for fashion lovers for a reason! All the more beautiful if you can wear a trendy long blouse with babystripes in pink this season - so what are you waiting for?

"Kida" in Blue: Oh, blue and white stripes always remind me of the sea, the beach, and holidays. These striped blouses automatically bring a maritime flair to your look. They look especially great with white jeans and a blue denim jacket. Add a straw bag and sunglasses - and your summer look is complete!

But now let's talk about what makes our long blouse "Kida" so great and unique: the different ways to wear it. I have prepared 5 different looks for you on how to style and wear the "Kida" blouse - let's go!

#1: Dinner at Home Look

Especially at this time, it's nice to get dressed up again, even if you're staying at home, isn't it? You can perfectly wear the striped blouse with a belt. This adds more shape to your look and particularly helps shorter women from getting lost in the long blouse. In addition, it just looks super casual and is still comfortable to wear. Depending on your taste, you can pull the shirt blouse out above the belt and thus determine the length of the blouse yourself.

#2: Beach Look

My absolute favorite! Wearing the "Kida" blouse as a dress. The slits on the sides of the blouse are particularly advantageous for the dress look. This gives the blouse dress shape and maintains that casual style. Blouse dresses are perfect for summer because they are airy and comfortable on the skin. If you combine this with a cool straw bag, sunglasses or a straw hat, you can head straight to the nearest lake. If you want the look more for a quick shopping trip to the city, combine sneakers and a casual denim jacket!

#3: Spring Look

Whether on scarves, hairbands, or your long blouse - knots are in! Although the sun is starting to come out again, it can still get quite chilly in the evenings. That's why, despite the summery style, you can also wear jeans and a casual hat with the beautiful blouse. This allows you to wear your long blouse even on slightly colder days and makes it absolutely spring-appropriate at the same time. For summer, the knotted blouse is of course also perfect with a skirt, shorts, or as a beach tunic over your bikini - it makes you want summer right away, doesn't it?

#4: Office Look

I think everyone has that one person in the office who always wants to open the window... With the "Kida" blouse, it might get a little chilly then - but hey, no problem! In the fashion world, it's now super trendy to wear a beautiful, warm knitted sweater over a dress or blouse. The white "Kirsten" knitted sweater is perfect for this, as its wide cut and great V-neck make it ideal for wearing over a blouse. This way of wearing it is, of course, also perfect as a jacket substitute for a bike ride or a nice spring walk!

#5: Street Look

The classic among styling options. With tight jeans or mom jeans, the long blouse "Kida" is simply perfect. Casually combined with sneakers, this look is perfect for everyday wear! A little tip from me: Feel free to unbutton the bottom two buttons for an even cooler look, or tuck one side into your pants and let the other side hang casually! The street style is complete!

My conclusion: Long blouses always work! They allow you to create a great look for any occasion. With just a few simple steps, they can become an absolute eye-catcher. The important thing to remember is: The smaller the woman, the shorter the blouse should be, and the taller the woman, the longer the blouse. So pay attention to the length and cut of the blouse or - a tip for the petite women among us - grab a belt!

Finally, let's turn to another topic: Due to the Corona crisis, it is even more important to protect yourself and others. Since face masks are currently almost sold out everywhere or are offered at inflated prices, we have come up with a great alternative for how you can protect yourself during a walk or a trip to the supermarket - and still look good! We show you how you can easily make a great face mask yourself with a simple cloth and two hair ties (of course, this mask protection alternative is not medically or in any way certified).

Step 1: Fold the cloth lengthwise so that it is only between 10 and 15 cm wide.

Step 2: Tie a hair tie around each side, double knotted, so that the middle section is about 20 cm long.

Step 3: Place the ends of the cloth into the opening in the middle.

Step 4: Pull the hair ties tight.
