Whether mini, midi or maxi dress - dresses are favorite garments

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, in other words: it's dress time! Hardly any other garment is as coveted by us women as beautiful dresses for summer. Whether white dresses, tunics for the beach, maxi dresses with leopard print, polka dot dresses or figure-hugging mini dresses - dresses make women's hearts beat faster. No wonder, because they come in many shapes, cuts, patterns and materials. Good for us, because there is a great, wide selection... but it's annoying if you don't know exactly which dress cut suits you best.

Finding the right dress

...and that's not so easy! I don't know if you feel the same way, but surely a third of my dresses in my closet are not actually suitable for my figure. The look simply convinced me when I was shopping. I often see dresses on friends or influencers, shop for them, try them on and think: How can this dress look so stupid on me? If you feel the same way: Welcome to the club!

So that this doesn't happen to you with our Zwillingsherz dresses, I have picked out a few of our dress models and formulated tips on which figure these dresses can be worn particularly well with. This will (hopefully) help you find your new favorite dress, where the pattern not only looks great, but also flatters your figure.

The tunic dress "Mia" - Small bust and small tummy

The beautiful tunic dress "Mia" has a great, unusual floral and paisley pattern, which always reminds me of the 70s. I particularly like the cut of the dress: V-neck in a classic tunic style, trumpet sleeves and a wide, loose fit. That's why this dress is actually suitable for quite a few fits: whether a large bottom, small bottom, big tummy, thin tummy - the Mia mini dress conceals what it needs to. Only women with a large bust need to be careful, as the seam at the bust is set relatively high and can otherwise add volume. For the tall women among us (like me): Grab your favorite jeans or a great comfortable pair of leggings and simply wear the dress as a tunic! That's just as beautiful and summery!

The "Amalia" dress - perfect for wide hips and large bust

Oh, Amalia... you are so wonderfully summery! Amalia is made of 100% cotton and therefore has a different drape than the Mia dress made of 100% viscose. Particularly beautiful (and what makes it so high-quality) is the woven Aztec pattern in - hold on tight - great, bright neon colors! Perfect for the summer season! The cut is also based on the tunic dress, but the "Amalia" dress is a little wider, has a slightly deeper V-neck and wide-cut sleeves. This makes it perfect for women who have a larger bottom and slightly larger thighs, as it perfectly conceals and flatters your figure. Therefore, it can be a little too wide for delicate people and you tend to get lost in the dress rather than it flattering your figure. Since we have a great V-neck (which can also be unbuttoned) and a seam below the bust, this dress can also be worn wonderfully by women with a larger bust. I think it's great!

The maxi dress with leopard print "Leslie" - long legs and strong calves

Our bestseller! The beautiful, long "Leslie" dress is simply an eye-catcher. The great leopard pattern, the wide-cut sleeves and the cut are just perfect for warm days. In addition, the dress is made of 100% viscose and is therefore particularly airy and light. Maxi dresses are generally great for tall people, as the dress then has the perfect length (between mid-calf and ankle). This perfectly covers strong calves or thighs. But even smaller women don't need to worry, because truly everyone can wear maxi dresses. Just use a belt, pull the dress up a bit and presto, you can determine the length of your long dress yourself. Also with the "Leslie" dress, the seam is again above or in the middle of the bust - perfect for women with smaller breasts. A perfect alternative for women with a larger bust, however, is also the belt here. This loosens up the upper part of your dress and your décolleté is also perfectly showcased.

The cotton dress "Fiona" - for delicate and smaller women

Comfortable & stylish - that's our "Fiona" dress. The great stripe print is super trendy this season, and since the dress is made of 100% cotton, it is also super elastic and hugs the body beautifully. I particularly like the neon-colored collar at the neck - simple yet an eye-catcher. Short dresses are generally great for smaller women, as they lengthen the legs and make the body appear taller. The close-fitting design is therefore also very good for slim, delicate figures. Of course, this does not mean that women with wider hips cannot wear this dress. I think every woman should wear such dresses. In addition, the striped "Fiona" dress can also be worn perfectly as a jersey shirt - whether at home, in the office or out in the evening!

The Pali dress "Valentina" - for every type of woman

An all-rounder for every figure! The Pali dress "Valentina" not only impresses with its great design in many different colors and the elaborately woven pattern, but also scores points with its fit. The dress is wide-cut, but also a little longer than the other dresses. Therefore, it can be worn perfectly by women with long legs, but also by smaller women. These can, as with the maxi dress, simply reach for a belt and vary the length of the dress. In addition, you have the option of determining the sleeve length yourself - either a dress with long sleeves or the rolled-up version. This also perfectly conceals slightly stronger arms. In addition, the dress is great for concealing a small tummy or stronger thighs. And beware: the dress also works for women of any bust size. You can tie it in the front: Worn open, it's great for a large bust; for a smaller bust, simply make a knot and focus on the pom-poms.

The long blouse "Kida" - perfect for tall women

Maybe you saw my last blog post on the striped long blouse "Kida"? I already presented great wearing options there, because this blouse is really versatile - and therefore also great to wear as a dress. Although it is actually a blouse, the "Kida" dress is also great for tall people. Worn with sneakers, you create a great casual street style. The cotton blouse is wide-cut and you can roll up the sleeves and fasten them with buttons. The cut allows you to perfectly conceal a small tummy or slightly stronger thighs. When summer is over, simply wear pants with the blouse - the outfit is complete!

These are the dress trends for 2020

So finding the perfect dress is not that easy. Dresses look great in summer (and actually at any other time of year) and automatically evoke summer feelings. That's why I didn't want to keep this season's dress trends from you:

1) Flower Power: Floral dresses are an absolute must-have this season! My favorite: Our floral print dress "Lea"

2) All White: Whether a white beach dress, white tunic or white maxi dress - white is in!

3) Bring on the dots: Polka dot dresses are a must-have! Whether large, striking polka dot patterns or small all-over polka dot prints (as with our "Eva" dress) - They are simply super beautiful for summer!

4) Leo, Leo, Leo: Animal prints are also a must-have this season. Take a look at our "Jelena" dress - that's our "Leslie" maxi dress in short!
