Stylish through Summer: Beach and Beach Outfits for Women

Summer is here!

Even though it's drizzling here in Hamburg right now, I'm really happy that summer is slowly arriving. And somehow, I also think it's nice that we Germans will mainly be spending this summer in our own country. We often underestimate how beautiful it actually is here - and how beautiful our beaches actually are. For example, I'm going to the Baltic Sea next week, which is why I've chosen "beach and seaside looks" as this week's theme. Because what do you actually wear when you're on a beach holiday? I asked myself the same question, and so I used my time in the office to put together some great beach looks that should offer you and me inspiration and help for various occasions, so we can be perfectly styled!

Summer, Sun, Beach and Fashion

Next week it's going to be hot again, which means that a bikini or swimsuit is absolutely essential for a beach holiday. But what should you wear if you want to have a cocktail with your boyfriend or friends in a beachside restaurant in the evening? Which beach look is suitable for a stroll along the promenade? And how do you dress if you want to grab a quick refreshment at the nearest bar on a day by the water? So you see, one beach look is not like another. While we think that beach looks are simple and uncomplicated, there are many different occasions for which we can style ourselves appropriately. I faced exactly this problem last night when I wanted to pack my bag for my holiday - what do I actually wear when I'm not lying on the beach in a bikini? How great it is then that I can combine leisure and work and have put together some great looks that will make you a real eye-catcher in your beach outfit - stay tuned!

Summer Looks at Zwillingsherz!

In addition to the great pieces I'm about to introduce to you, there's now also an extra category on our website that's all about great beach looks for women. Because a beautiful beach outfit sometimes needs more than just a airy summer dress. Hats, bags, and shoes are important companions when putting together your beach look, as they lend your outfit even more individuality and summery flair.

Therefore, here are three quick little fashion tips from me on how to make your beach look unique:

1. It can be XXL: Whether it's a hat or a bag - "large" is the keyword here. Large bags are not only super practical, because all the important things you need for the beach fit in them, but they are also super stylish (my Zwillingsherz favorite: Bag "Nada"). The same goes for hats, of course, because XXL hats are a must this summer! I'll introduce you to a great alternative later in my blog.
2. Fine, but oh-ho! Light scarves may seem relatively unspectacular at first, but I'll tell you later what beautiful things you can do with them and why they help you put together a perfect beach look - stay tuned!
3. White is the new black! You may have already noticed that white is simply the trend color par excellence in summer. And you'll find this light color everywhere in our summer dresses and beach tunics. A great example is our Beach tunic "Fantasia" with beautiful neon highlights!

Girls just wanna have sun - stylish beach looks for your next holiday!

#1: For a long day at the beach

What's the most important thing for your beach look if you want to spend the whole day at the beach? Right, a huge bag (see fashion tip #1) that fits everything important for the whole day. The "Tropical" beach bag from our beach collection is perfect for this. I love the great play of colors in this bag, with neon pink, yellow, and turquoise, and of course the fringed lettering "Sun, Salt, Beach" - how fitting, right? Bags are exposed to a lot of moisture and sand at the beach, which is why a robust material and a fiber that doesn't absorb too much moisture are important. That's why the bag is made of 80% polyester and 20% cotton (if it were 100% cotton, a lot of water would be absorbed and the bag would take longer to dry). To match the bag, you can wear the "Jennifer" midi dress. This great batik dress is available in three different variations. I chose the model in pastel shades of blue, pink, and yellow to go with the bag because I thought it matched perfectly. So you see, you can also base your outfit around an accessory!

#2: Quickly grab a drink at the beach bar

Who doesn't know it? You're lying on the beach, sunbathing, getting thirsty, want to get something to drink and have to walk a few meters for it. Personally, I don't like walking around in just a bikini among other people, because I don't feel "dressed" then. Kimonos are great for this, or - a scarf! Yes, you heard right, because with scarves you can do many useful things in summer (see fashion tip #2). I chose our "Laura" bamboo scarf in turquoise, because it is not only made of 100% organic bamboo fiber, but also convinces as a pareo due to its size. The length of 2 meters allows this scarf to be tied as an airy summer dress or pareo. Simply cross the scarf at chest height and tie it at the back of the neck - done! A pareo dress is great for quickly throwing something on and covering up bare areas. A must-have for the beach! In the picture you can also see our brand new "Charlott" summer straw hat (practically named after me), which convinces with its beautiful size and great shell details (see fashion tip #1). And of course, its white color makes it an all-rounder for summer (see fashion tip #3), because you can simply wear it with everything - whether with a beach dress, a tunic, an airy blouse or simply as sun protection when you're lying in the sun in a bikini.

If you're not a fan of turquoise or the look is just too simple for you, I have another great alternative. Instead of the bamboo scarf, I chose the striped "Elisabeth" scarf. The summer scarf has a great stripe pattern in white, red and dark blue and the edges are decorated with cute little pompoms. Although this scarf is a bit shorter at 1.80 m, it is made of 100% polyester. Here again, the advantage is that little water is absorbed, which means you can wear this scarf perfectly at the beach. As a great XXL bag, I chose the "Hummer" straw bag. Bast and straw bags are currently all the rage, because they automatically look super summery. In addition, the bag has a great size to store everything important for the beach. I think it's great!

#3: Your look for the next beach party!

A beach holiday also always means: cocktails, bars, and lots of fun! So, you definitely need to pack an outfit for the evening in your suitcase. I chose the "Mina" tunic dress here because I like the color combination of white and blue tones. The dress is made of 100% cotton and is therefore a bit thicker and perfect for cooler evenings. If it's still too cold, you can also easily wear white jeans underneath and wear it as a "normal" tunic. Since you can't do without your phone, wallet, and some cosmetics even in the evening, you definitely need a bag to go with your beach look. Since I don't really find clutches suitable for beach bars, I've picked out a similar option for you. The "Summertimes" bag is a major highlight for your look: it's made of wood and is partly transparent - so it's totally on trend! Transparent bags are super popular with fashion lovers this year and are super cool especially for evenings! As a little special, I tied the "Classic" silk scarf in white to the handle to pick up the color of the dress again and make the look a bit brighter and fresher (see fashion tip #3).

#4: Airily styled for a stroll along the promenade

It also happens that you don't spend the whole day on the beach, but want to explore the area a bit, e.g. take a stroll along the promenade or discover new small bays and dunes. For your summery beach look, you can wear the "Lua" maxi dress. The dress is available in light green and pink - so the colors are super summery! But the cut is also perfect, because the spaghetti straps don't cover your shoulders too much, so you sweat less under your armpits. In addition, the wide cut is super airy and you don't have to worry about your dress flying up in the typical coastal breeze. For that certain something, I tied the "Classic" silk scarf in white into Anna's hair. This gives you a cool, summery look for small excursions. You can combine it with flip-flops, sandals or sliders - done!

Nothing stands in the way of my holiday now, and I hope that you too will remember my tips on your next day at the beach. Because I'm on holiday, you won't hear from me again until the week after next, but I can already tell you: The topic will be great!
