Stylish through Summer: Beach and Beach Outfits for Women

Summer is here!

Even though it's drizzling here in Hamburg right now, I'm really happy that summer is slowly arriving. And somehow I think it's nice that we Germans will be spending this summer mainly in our own country. We often underestimate how beautiful it actually is here - and how beautiful our beaches really are. For example, I'm heading to the Baltic Sea next week, which is why I've chosen the topic of "Beach Looks" for this week. Because what do you actually wear when you go on vacation by the sea? I asked myself this question too, and therefore used my time at the office to put together some great beach looks that should offer you and me inspiration and help in being perfectly styled for various occasions!

Summer, sun, beach and fashion

Next week it's going to be hot again, which means that a bikini or swimsuit is an absolute must for a beach vacation. But what should you wear when you want to have a cocktail with a friend or friends at a restaurant on the beach in the evening? Which beach look is suitable for a stroll along the beach promenade? And how do you dress if you want to get a quick cool-down at the nearest bar on a day by the water? As you can see, not all beach looks are the same. Although we think that beach looks are simple and uncomplicated, there are actually many different occasions for which we can dress appropriately. I was faced with exactly this problem when I wanted to pack my bag for my vacation yesterday evening - what do I actually wear when I'm not just lying on the beach in my bikini? How good, then, that I can combine leisure and work and have put together some great looks that will make you a real eye-catcher in your beach outfit - stay tuned!

Summer looks at Zwillingsherz!

In addition to the great pieces I'm about to introduce to you, there is now an extra category on our site that is all about great beach looks for women. Because a beautiful beach outfit sometimes requires more than just an airy summer dress. Hats, bags, and shoes are important companions when putting together your beach look, because they give your outfit even more individuality and summery flair.

So here are three quick fashion tips from me on how to make your beach look unique:

1. Feel free to go XXL: Whether it's a hat or a bag - "big" is the keyword here. Large bags are not only super practical, because they fit all the important things you need for the beach, but they are also super stylish (my Zwillingsherz favorite: "Nada" bag). The same naturally applies to hats, because XXL hats are a must this summer! I will introduce you to a great alternative later in my blog.
2. Fine, but oh-so-great! Lightweight scarves seem relatively unspectacular at first, but I'll tell you later about all the beautiful things you can do with them and why they help you put together a perfect beach look - stay tuned!
3. White is the new black! You may have already noticed that the color white is simply the trend color for summer. And you will also find this bright color everywhere in our summer dresses and beach tunics. A great example is our "Fantasia" beach tunic with beautiful neon highlights!

Girls just wanna have sun - stylish beach looks for your next vacation!

#1: For a long day at the beach

What is the most important thing for your beach look if you want to spend the whole day at the beach? Right, a huge bag (see fashion tip no. 1) that fits everything important for the day. Perfect for this is the "Tropical" beach bag from our beach collection. I love the great play of colors in neon pink, yellow, and turquoise on this bag and, of course, the fringed "Sun, Salt, Beach" lettering - how fitting, right? Bags on the beach are exposed to a lot of moisture and sand, which is why a robust material and a fiber that does not absorb much moisture are important. That is why the bag is made of 80% polyester and 20% cotton (if it were 100% cotton, it would absorb a lot of water and the bag would take longer to dry). Matching the bag, you can wear the "Jennifer" midi dress . This great batik dress is available in three different variations. I chose the model in the pastel tones of blue, pink, and yellow for the bag because I felt that it went perfectly with the bag. So you see, you can also determine your outfit around an accessory!

#2: Getting a quick drink at the beach bar

Who doesn't know this? You're lying on the beach, sunbathing, get thirsty, want to get something to drink, and have to walk a few meters to do so. Personally, I don't like walking around among other people just in my bikini, as I don't feel "dressed." Kimonos or a scarf are perfect for this! Yes, you heard right, because you can do many useful things with scarves in the summer (see fashion tip no. 2). I chose our "Laura" bamboo scarf in turquoise here, because it's not only made of 100% bamboo fiber but also impresses as a sarong due to its size. The length of 2 meters makes it possible to also tie this scarf as an airy summer dress or sarong. Simply cross the scarf at chest height and knot it behind your neck - and you're done! A sarong dress is great for quickly throwing something on and covering up the exposed areas. A must-have for the beach! In the picture you can also see our brand-new "Charlott" summer straw hat (practically named after me), which impresses with its beautiful size and great seashell details (see fashion tip no. 1). And of course, thanks to its white color, it is simply an all-rounder for the summer (see fashion tip no. 3), because you can simply wear it with everything - whether with a beach dress, a tunic, an airy blouse, or simply as sun protection when you're lying in the sun in your bikini.

If you aren't a fan of turquoise or the look is just too simple for you, I have another great alternative for you. Instead of the bamboo scarf, I chose the striped "Elisabeth" scarf. The summer scarf has a great striped pattern in white, red, and dark blue, and the edges are decorated with sweet little pom-poms. Although this scarf is slightly shorter at 1.80m, it is made of 100% polyester. The advantage here again is that it absorbs little water, so you can perfectly wear this scarf on the beach. As a great XXL bag, I've picked out the "Hummer" straw bag for you. Bast and straw bags are currently all the rage because they simply automatically look super summery. In addition, the bag has a great size to store everything important for the beach. I think it's great!

#3: Your look for the next beach party!

A vacation on the beach always means: cocktails, bars, and lots of fun! This means that you definitely have to pack an outfit for the evening hours in your suitcase as well. I have decided on the "Mina" tunic dress, because I like the color combination of white and blue tones. The dress is made of 100% cotton and is therefore a bit thicker and perfect when it gets a bit cooler in the evening. If it's still too cold, you can also easily wear white jeans underneath and wear it as a "normal" tunic. Since you also shouldn't be without your mobile phone, wallet, and a few cosmetic items in the evening, you definitely need a bag for your beach look. Since I don't find clutches to be very suitable for beach bars, I have picked out a similar variant for you. The "Summertime" bag is a mega highlight for your look: It is made of wood and is partially transparent - so it's fully on-trend! Transparent bags are super popular among fashion lovers this year and are especially cool for the evening! As a small special, I have also knotted the "Classic" silk scarf in white to the handle to pick up the color of the dress and make the look a bit brighter and fresher (see fashion tip no. 3).

#4: Airy styling for a stroll along the beach promenade

It also happens that you don't lie on the beach all day, but also want to explore the area a little, e.g., take a walk along the beach promenade or explore new small coves and dunes. For your summery beach look, you can perfectly wear the "Lua" maxi dress. The dress is available in light green and pink - so the colors are super summery! But the cut is also perfect, because the spaghetti straps don't cover your shoulders too much, which is why you sweat less under your arms. In addition, the loose cut is super airy and you don't have to worry about your dress flying up in the typical coastal breeze. For that certain something, I tied the "Classic" silk scarf in white into Anna's hair. This way you have a cool, summery look for little excursions. You can perfectly combine flip-flops, sandals, or slides with it - and you're done!

Nothing stands in the way of my vacation now and I hope that you, too, will remember my tips during your next day at the beach. Because I will be on vacation, you won't hear anything from me again until the week after next, but I can already tell you: the topic will be great!
