Think big! Maxi dresses for petite and tall women
Some are annoyed that they are too short and others think they are too tall for maxi dresses. Many women have problems with the length of these dresses and don't dare to wear maxi dresses. Since summer is just around the corner and maxi dresses are an absolute must-have, I grabbed my two colleagues Anna and Natalia and shot a few dresses for you. Anna is 1.76 m tall and Natalia, at 1.60 m, is one of the shorter women. The dresses in the pictures this time serve as inspiration to show you that long dresses are definitely an option for summer for both short and tall women.
Why we love maxi dresses so much
Before I show you the pictures, I wanted to explain why maxi dresses are so popular with us women this season. Actually, the following two points are quite promising and convincing (at least they convinced me to wear maxi dresses in summer):
1) Maxi dresses convince with their versatility
Long, wide dresses - preferably with a floral print - somehow automatically remind us of the hippie era. Since 70s fashion and styles are currently very trendy again (I'm talking about Flower Power), maxi dresses are also becoming increasingly popular. Especially together with beautiful flower wreaths, fringed jackets or ponchos, the dresses look super casual and transport you back to a time when Love, Peace & Harmony moved society. Alternatively, you can wear your long dress cool with cowboy boots, a denim or leather jacket and a hat and be super trendy, because cowboy looks were absolutely in focus at Fashion Week in spring! Alternatively, you can also wear pumps or sandals with a maxi dress, choose beautiful jewelry and a clutch - and your look for the next wedding is ready!
2) Maxi dresses conceal and hide
The wide cut of our maxi dresses ensures that our hated problem areas on the stomach, bottom and thighs are perfectly covered. And even on hot days, swollen legs can be super concealed without you sweating. And for all those who don't like to shave their legs every day in summer, long summer dresses are of course ideal. So you see, maxi dresses are a great companion for the summer! What I particularly love about long dresses is that you look feminine even though many parts of your body are covered. You never feel too "naked" and can look summery even though you are wearing a long dress. Therefore, maxi dresses are not only good for concealing and hiding, but also perfect for looking "dressed" in restaurants, for example.
But now we come to the essence of the blog post: Maxi dresses for short and tall women!
As explained above, many women think that long dresses are not for their height. For short women, the length of the dresses is usually too long, so the end hangs on the floor and makes it rather cumbersome to wear a long dress in everyday life. For tall women, the dresses apparently make them look even taller and more stretched. The photos will show you that women of every height can wear maxi dresses. Because I think you can't go wrong with maxi dresses...
Maxi dresses for every type of woman
Rule No. 1 remains, of course, that you must feel comfortable in this dress. Because if this is not the case, you automatically radiate this to the outside and at the latest next summer the dress will end up in the old clothes bin. With our maxi dresses, we have therefore paid particular attention to ensuring that the cut is wide so that you don't feel constricted in the dress in summer, are airily dressed and therefore sweat less. And of course we also thought about the length of the dresses: We designed the dresses so that the maxi dress does not reach the floor for women over 1.75m tall, but ends at ankle height. This makes taller women look "less tall" and instead their height is emphasized (to all tall women: stand by your height!). If you prefer a figure-hugging look, use a belt, because this ensures that the length of your dress is changed again. This way you can quickly and easily transform your maxi dress into a midi dress, the length of which ends in the middle of the calf. On the other hand, the dress is cut so that for women with a height of 1.60m, the dress ends directly at the floor. This gives shorter women the option of either wearing the maxi dress classically or using a belt. This also affects the length of the dress - as is the case with the version for taller women. For shorter women, the belt therefore particularly emphasizes the figure and makes the women appear a little taller.

This is our "Bea" floral maxi dress. I can't even tell you which color is my favorite, because they all have something special. I used earthy tones here, because these are simply super trendy in summer. Dresses in beige, yellow or brown can be perfectly combined with trendy basket bags, straw hats or beautiful sandals. The special thing about this dress is the focus on the flounce: the skirt of the dress is wide and flowing, the sleeves also have a wide cut and are therefore very airy. In addition to the yellow and beige tone, the floral dress is also available in red and a beautiful blue. These colors are also an absolute must this summer!
What a dress! I don't even know what I like better: the pattern or the colors? The total length of the dress is slightly longer than the "Bea" maxi dress, at approx. 139cm. So perfect for wearing open or with a belt. The advantage of this dress is also that the colors can also be worn super in autumn, so simply with tights and boots. The photo also clearly shows that the dress has the same length for Anna and Natalia despite a 16 cm height difference - thanks to the belt!
The "Lua" dress definitely impresses with its cut and great pattern. The great floral print is available in two different colors - green and red - which are simply perfect for summer. This spaghetti strap dress is simply a must-have for your next vacation. With a total length of 130cm, this dress with a belt is also great for shorter women. Instead of a belt, a light scarf can also be used, making the whole look even more summery and airy.
